The objective of the M2R degree is to prepare students for basic and applied research. This master is divided into two semesters. The first semester cover the theoretical part and consist of 10 modules (30 ECTS) and is spread over 12-15 weeks. The second semester is an introduction to research (practical training) (30 ECTS). The research work can be done either in laboratories in France or at Lebanese university at research platforms of the doctoral school or at the faculty of sciences. The research part of this degree is an introduction to research in organic chemistry and its methods, such as synthesis and structural determination. Its purpose is to familiarize students with scientific literature as well as experimental work. The student should write a report by the end of June, and attend an oral presentation in July (first session) or in September (second session).
To be able to pursue phD in organic chemistry such as synthesis, catalyses, and others.

Required Level: This Master is aimed at organic chemistry students holding an M1 diploma in Molecular Chemistry and having a good level in organic courses.

The M2R degree prepares students for PhD research which can be done abroad or in collaboration between the Lebanese university and the French partners (cotutelle).
