Research Master in Chemistry and Biology of Bioactive Molecules

Objectives

    • Prepare students for methodologies required to understand and analyze bioactive molecules.
    •  Providing the students with essential elements for understanding the mechanisms of interaction of ligands with macromolecules and biological systems for fundamental and applied research. 
    • Prepare students for Ph.D. University in the field of research in pharmaco-chemistry, cellular and molecular pharmacology, and pharmaceutical technology.
    • The integration of graduates into the industrial and/ or academic sectors will improve the scientific quality in these fields.

Acquired Skills

The aim of this Master is to prepare for research careers and for improvement in the field of drugs through directing the student to understand the rational of designing pharmacological tools by implementation of innovative methods in the interface chemistry-biology.
  • Finding a research project
  • Search and analyze documents approaching studied project. 
  • Constantly adapt to novel technologies and different projects.
  • Achieve a study: propose a theory, build and develop an argument
  • Know and use the methods, materials and informatics softwares (molecular modeling…)
  • Multidisciplinary approach
  • Implement an experimental approach
  • Interpret results and experiments, develop a synthesis and suggest extensions
  • Write publications on the study

Recruitment: Applications are reviewed by an admission committee. The best candidates are selected after interview

Required Level:

M1 of Biochemistry, M1 of Biology, Pharmacy Doctor, Medicine Doctor, Diploma from the Faculty of Public Health (Level M1)
