The course "Environmental Science: Biogeochemical Approach » main objective is to offer a multidisciplinary view on environmental sciences in order to reconstruct the observations and measurements made in nature in an objective model which takes into account variables bio-physico-chemical environment. Thus, this course focuses on the linkages between the various environmental sciences. Transport of contaminants and their influence on soil, air and hydrosphere quality. Ecotoxicology mechanisms related to the perception of the environment, climate and global warming related to atmospheric chemistry. Isotopic geochemistry and its applications in the environmental sciences. Waste management.
Identification and classification of environmental factors : Mechanisms of adaptation to the environment, ionic and osmotic equilibrium, thermoregulation, responses to extreme conditions.
Atmospheric Chemistry: Air Quality, industrial environment, socio-economic pressure, transport sector, urban impact on global warming and climate change
Mechanisms of biosorption and degradation of organic and inorganic contaminants: bioaccumulation and transfer, application examples, case rhizosphere, microbial biomass, Impact on the quality of soil and groundwater
Radiogenic methods: ionizing radiation, qualitative changes in the hydrosphere compartments, usefulness in the study of primary materials in the lithosphere
Environmental isotopes: applications, studies of interconnections between aquifers, and loss of natural and artificial recharge of groundwater, utility in the study of global warming
Waste management : typology, technical approach of processes and channels of waste treatment.
Technical visits and exploration of contaminated industrial and urban sites, practices of sampling, measurement and orientation on the ground, records of coordinates, multi echnical generation of data (detectors Beta, Gamma, texture, structure, spatial variation, contaminants)
