Objective

This course aims to build scientific knowledge on nitrogen nutrition and nitrogen metabolism in Higher Plants. Notions of nitrogen assimilation in the roots of the plant and its reduction will be detailed to enable students to understand the different mechanisms for nitrogen nutrition.

Content

Assimilation of nitrate and ammonium; Symbiotic assimilation of nitrogen; synthesis and transport of amino acids and C / N ratio; allocation of nitrogen during the growth and development of the plant; ecophysiology and agronomy of nitrogen. The LAB includes the preparation of nutrient nitrogen solutions or deficient in nitrogen and the practice of herbaceous and ligneous cultivation in different places rich and poor in nitrogen. As for TS, they consist of making applications and empirical tests on nitrogen nutrition.
